Feeling Sluggish After Lunch?
I was recently lucky enough to attend the Autodesk Industry Academy in Munich. This is the annual,
European event for Autodesk Partners to gain insight into the year ahead in the world of Autodesk . As you can see from the photo the weather was rather grey which meant we spent a little more time than anticipated indoors… ![]()
I attended a session given by Harlan Brumm who is the ‘Global Technical Lead for Revit Architecture within Product Support’ for Autodesk on the top Issues within Revit. One of the tips he passed on was with regard to the performance and memory usage of Revit. When using Revit through the day, periodically close and restart it, if your going out to lunch or a meeting or even just making a coffee, it will refresh the memory used and help keep it optimised.
Sounds mad I know, but if Revit seems to slow down as the day goes on, try closing it down for a minute and restarting, it could make a big difference.
